Playing catch up!

Quick Catch Up!

A lot has happened since our last post, I'll update you best I can, then add a lot of pictures from the last 5 months

Alex:

Alex has been keeping busy. He had a birthday back in September, he got an ice-cream cake and a quadricopter. He has been keeping busy with work and taking care of Bentley and I. He is a champ at putting up with me and doing everything he can to make sure Bentley and I are happy. He was able to go to Minnesota for a work conference. He had a lot of fun and he even went to the Mall of America(I'm just a little jealous!). I thought work would slow down for him, but even with the cold and snowfall they are still busy! He is still studying for the GMAT, and hopefully he will take it by summer:)

Lezlie:

My Half Birthday!
I have also been keeping busy! I got a job as a nanny. There was a family in our ward that moved out and needed someone to take the 5 and 7 year old to school everyday and to pick them up when they are done. It is about 12 hours a week but it is perfect because I can take Bentley with me, and the kids love to play with him. I'm still trying to get back into shape, I have run 3 5K's and a 10K. I also have been taking some fun classes at the gym. I was able to go to NM the weekend before thanksgiving as well, my sisters and mom got a playing gig and it was fun to play with them. My calling at church has also been keeping me busy. the stake boundaries changed and I lost one of my counselors and two girls:( It definitely is one of the most challenging callings I have ever had, I just hope I am doing some good in the girls life.

Bentley:

My goodness he has been a busy little boy growing and learning! He is the fastest crawler ever, he loves walking around with his airplane and he stands up all by himself from sitting! We are so proud of him! As of yesterday he has two teeth on bottom and two teeth on top! He also loves to chase the cat around and climb under or over anything he can. He loves his toys and he loves hanging our with other babies around his age.

Family:

As a family we have been so blessed and so happy. Days can be long and busy at times, but at the end of each day we have each other! We are blessed with a healthy baby boy, the doctors are always optimistic and happy at his appointments. Alex and I are healthy, we have food, a roof over our head, a family that loves an supports us, and we have the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will be a family forever, and that knowledge alone gives me such great joy! I love my family, and even though we aren't perfect we are doing the best that we can.

Denver Temple, Alex and I had the opportunity to take the youth on a temple trip. It was a beautiful sunset!

So many months have gone by, so I think I will just sum it up with some pictures :P

Bentley's Heart-March 6, 2018

Since moving to Tracy, I have realized that a lot of people aren't aware of Bentleys heart. Not that I don't want people to know, I just have a hard time bringing it up. Before I update his condition, I'll just give a little background on what it is. Bentley was born with a rare heart condition called Congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (cctga). The easy way to explain it is the arteries on his heart are switched, the larger artery which is supposed pump blood to his body, is pumping blood to his lungs, and the smaller artery which is supposed to pump blood to his lungs, is pumping the blood to his body.  Cctga comes in 3 forms and Bentley has the most rare. His Cctga also causes him to have a heart block, which just means his the top and bottom of his heart aren't beating in sync, causing his heart to beat at a slower rate.  Most of the times when diagnosed with Cctga kids have other major issues with their hearts and need open hear
