Good-bye 2015, Hello 2016!

Good-Bye 2015!!

The last two months have been absolutely crazy, with lots of traveling and family. But we are ready to start a new year! I will just sum up some of the fun things we have been doing!

Halloween

For Halloween Bentley dressed up as the cutest Ewok ever! We went to Boo at the Zoo with Family, decorated pumpkins, and we attended the ward Halloween party!

New Mexico

 My Baby brother got back from his mission in Brazil! And all of my family was able to be there to welcome him home! All seven kids were home! Some of us played for sacrament when Dalton spoke, and we were able to take lots of pictures.


 

We came home for a few a week when Bentley went sledding for the first time, and we decorated for Christmas,  then we went back to Los Alamos for Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving Alex came home and I stayed for another week so I could watch my sister perform in the Nutcracker. She did a beautiful Job! While we were there we were also able to see Santa, and go to the Light Parade.



Arizona

My sister was able to get tickets to a Cardinals game in Arizona, and we were able to find cheap flights so that we could fly out and see the game with her! We had lots of fun at the game and we also did some shopping. Although Bentleys favorite part had to be going to My sisters gymnastics class! He loves to jump on the trampoline, and had fun swinging on the bars as well.

Colorado

After Arizona we came home for a few days were I cleaned the house, played the cello in a Messiah sing-along, and had our family pictures taken. We made a few last minute preparations for Christmas and packed up for our next adventure.

California

We saved up for the last two years to make our trip to California, we had lots of fun spending time with Alex's family.  It was awesome having all his sibling together at once as well, and we got some great pictures with all of us :) Some of the fun things we did was go to Balboa for the boat light parade, went to the beach, went out to eat as a family a couple times, and one of the highlights was DISNEYLAND!We went on Christmas Eve and Bentley was a little bit sick, but he did amazingly well! His absolutely loved the finding Nemo submarine, and the train. Alex and I both really like the new space mountain. Plus we were there with lots of family which made it even better. On Christmas day my Sister-in-law was had all of us over for Christmas. Bentley got lots of toys and enjoyed spending lots of time with his Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. 

For our anniversary, Alex and I went back to Balboa, (where we spent part of our honeymoon) and had breakfast and rode bikes around the island.  
Happy 3 Years! Love him so much!

There was so much craziness that went on the last few months, but I am so grateful for Alex! He works so hard and deserves more than I can give him. Bentley is just the sweetest little boy, I couldn't ask for anything better. He makes me laugh and smile everyday and I can't believe how fast he is growing up! I am grateful for my family, both mine and Alexs' they are all so wonderful and loving. I am so grateful to have the blessings of the Gospel so that my family will be together forever!! 
Good-bye 2015 and Hello 2016, The Richards family is excited and looking forward to all the wonderful things headed our way!

Family of 🖐🏻!

Welcome Emmet Stanford!! Born on May12 at 2:25am. Weighing 8 lbs 14oz, 21 inches long! We welcomed our newest addition, Emmet! Here is his birth story, it’s a short one this time around which is fine with me😊  The kids are enamored by him and we all love him so much! We were expecting him early because of my history with Bentley and Hadley, my doctor thought he would make his appearance earlier than later. My mom and sister were able to stay at home and quarantine for two weeks so they could be here when the baby came and watch Bentley and Hadley. We had them come May 1, because were were sure I would go into labor around then. However Emmet decided to take his time and didn’t come until I was 40+1. I was definitely ready! It was kind of a scary quick labor. I wasn’t sure we would make it to the hospital. Life would be boring without change!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Hello! I know I say this every time but it’s been awhile since our last post and so much has changed for our family in the last few months! But the top three changes are: 1-We found out we were expecting! 2- Alex got a new job (same company), and 3- We moved to San Diego!  I’ll just summarize by month and add lots of pictures😃 June/July We had a nice relaxing summer, we stayed home and tried to get back into a routine and normal life post hospital. We did go to the children’s museum lots and played outside. We also put Hadley in some dance classes and Bentley in Swimming and soccer to keep them busy. Bentley also lost two teeth!  August Bentley started kindergarten! I can’t Believe he is old enough to go to school! The Richards family is on the move!

 The last time I posted was over a year ago! Like the rest of the world this year was anything but ordinary. We did however all grow a year older, and we learned to adapt the best we could to our new way of life.  With COVID, a new baby and Bentleys heart we tried to be extra cautious. We spent a lot of time at home together, a lot of time going to the beach and different parks together. We worshipped each Sunday from our living room over zoom and had many Facetime and Skype calls with our families. We turned a bedroom into a home office while Alex worked form home, and our living room into a virtual classroom for Bentley while he did his entire first grade year. Hadley and I did some mommy pre-school. And Emmet was just the happiest baby that went along with it all (while growing up way too fast!)  During the past year we have had our fair share of disappointments and joyful moments, but through them all we have grown.
