We have had a busy last couple of Months. In April I got to see my sister and her kids for their spring break. We went to the Childrens Museum, and went Swimming. We also made it to the Park.  Bentley had a lot of fun with his cousins.

Bentley is growing up so fast! I am amazed each day at the things he can do! He is now 22.5 lbs, he loves to play at the park and loves to play with the kitty. Some of his favorite toys are his red chair (Thank You cousin Gavin:) Balls, Books, and his mega blocks! He will eat almost anything that you give him. He also loves to help me do the dishes and play the piano. Overall he is just the happiest little boy and Alex and I love him So Much!

I am doing really well, Bentley keeps me busy. I am done nannying and it is so nice to not have to get up at 5:30 anymore. I am still working on getting back into shape. Since I last blogged I have run a 5K and 2 10Ks. I have been going to the gym and if the weather is nice bentley and I get out and jog to the park.

I have decided to not go to school at this time. I would really like to go back eventually but after much prayer and thought I decided to focus more on raising Bentley and getting ready for Alex to go back. Alex has been really supportive and would have helped me go back. But he is supportive in me not going as well. He built me a garden:) Which I was able to plant. I'm pretty sure the only things growing however are the onions! haha anyway I am learning new things. I am also in the Process of making Bentley a Quiet Book. He is still a little young but hopefully it will keep him still at church:) Next time I will post pictures. Oh I also got a haircut. Its not much shorter but I did get bangs:)

Alex

Work is starting to pick up for Alex. But he always finds time to spend time with Bentley and I. He was able to take the GMAT a few weeks ago. He didn't do as well he would have liked and He would like to retake it. I am proud of him for working hard and studying for it. I think he is amazing and he will get into school wherever he wants. He is such a hard worker:) I really do love him! He also built me some bookshelves out of Pallets. It really opened up our front room. He is the best ever!
Thats it for now. Next week Bentley and I are headed on a summer adventure to New Mexico, Texas and Arizona. I'll have some fun pictures to post I'm sure!

Bentley's Heart-March 6, 2018

Since moving to Tracy, I have realized that a lot of people aren't aware of Bentleys heart. Not that I don't want people to know, I just have a hard time bringing it up. Before I update his condition, I'll just give a little background on what it is. Bentley was born with a rare heart condition called Congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (cctga). The easy way to explain it is the arteries on his heart are switched, the larger artery which is supposed pump blood to his body, is pumping blood to his lungs, and the smaller artery which is supposed to pump blood to his lungs, is pumping the blood to his body.  Cctga comes in 3 forms and Bentley has the most rare. His Cctga also causes him to have a heart block, which just means his the top and bottom of his heart aren't beating in sync, causing his heart to beat at a slower rate.  Most of the times when diagnosed with Cctga kids have other major issues with their hearts and need open hear...

Bentley surgery update ♥️

Before I was able to update the blog about Bentley’s surgery it got moved up! Surgery was scheduled for November 28. Then on Wednesday of last week the surgeons office called and said they would need to move his surgery later date. However that had a last minute opening on Friday and asked if that would be enough time. We have already been waiting for a couple months so we said we could do Friday!  So here I am writing this on my phone from the hospital. 🙂 Let me back up a little bit. The week of November 3 Bentley had a series of tests and procedures to see if he would be a candidate for the double switch surgery. My awesome mother in law came out and took care of Hadley while we were in and out of the hospital that week.  He ended up not being a candidate yet, the pressure in his artery still needed to be a little higher before they would consider him a candidate,  so we proceeded with our previous plan of just tightening his PA Band.  When we found out ou...
