Go Broncos!! We were able to watch with family, good food and good company!

Valentines Day

Alex took Bentley and I to paint Pottery for valentines day, So Fun! And we also looked cute at church in our pink:)

Train Show

Bentley Loves trains right now so we had a family outing to the Rocky Mountain Train show when it was in town.

Family

We are so blessed to have family so close to us! We get to see them on a regular basis and do lots of fun activities. My parents and younger sister also came into town for a ballet competition so we got to see them as well:)

Alex

I just have to give shout out to to my sweet husband! I can't count the number of things he has done for me these past couple months. And on more than one occasion has surprised me with flowers. I love him forever, he really makes me happy:)

Graduate School

This is where our good news comes in, Alex has decided to go to ASU! He will pursue a Masters in Global Logistics. He also got into the MBA program at Michigan State, but has decided that he would rather do the masters program in Phoenix. We are excited for a new adventure! Orientation starts August 15, which means we will be getting ready to leave this summer

Bentley Daddy Adventures

Alex and Bentley got to spend lots of time together while I was training for my Marathon. They went to the Train museum a couple times, and got to hang out with some friends.

Running

I did it! I ran a marathon! I trained for months, sacrificed time, and ran many miles. And I did it. It was physically and mentally one of the the hardest things I have ever done. But I did it. I can't say I'll do it again any time soon, but I won't stop running. Running is my happy place, I'm not very fast, but when I run I can just clear my head and have me time!
This is my "I Can't believe I just ran 26 miles" face

My cheerleader miles away!

This was the Polar Prowl Half Marathon i did in January:)

Phoenix

My older sister Jaclyn and I went to Phoenix for the Marathon. We stayed with my other sister Chelsy who lives there, and we just got to relax and enjoy the warm weather for a few days. I love my sisters they made my trip fun!

Orchestra

I have also been able to play my cello with the Lakewood Symphony and the Mormon Choral. It keeps me playing and busy. I've had a couple performance with the symphony the last couple months, and am currently playing  with the Mormon choral in their Easter production fo the Lamb of God. It is such an amazing piece. If any of you can make it I know you won't regret coming and listening!

Crafts

I love to sew and do crafts. The last few months I have made a handful of baby blankets, a diaper bag, a flannel board, and a quilt for Bentley's Bed. I am also working on a T-shirt blanket for my sister and am practicing making wallets and other canvas bags. I love Pintrest for all the fun ideas I find on there.

Bentley

Swimming/Gymnastics

I signed Bentley up for a gymnastics and swimming class at the rec center. He loves going, it is a great way for him to get rid of his Energy. He is pretty coordinated for a two year old and he even amazes me sometimes with what he can do!

Cardiologist

Bentley went to the Cardiologist and his heart is still doing well! This time he did much better with all of the tests they did. His average heart rate was around 55BPM which was lower than last year. But the cardiologist said not to worry. The cardiologist said he will need a pacemaker, its just a matter of time. But Bentley hasn't shown any signs of needing it yet. We know the symptoms to look for if his heart rate does drop, but until then we are going to go back to life as normal.
Getting an EKG

Birthday

Bentley Turned 2!! I can't believe he is growing up. Time has gone by way too fast! We were able to go to dinner and have a small gathering at the park to celebrate! He sure is loved and lovable. I am looking forward to another year with my handsome boy:)
My Favorite video of Bentley on hisBirthday:)

Family of πŸ–πŸ»!

Welcome Emmet Stanford!! Born on May12 at 2:25am. Weighing 8 lbs 14oz, 21 inches long! We welcomed our newest addition, Emmet! Here is his birth story, it’s a short one this time around which is fine with me😊  The kids are enamored by him and we all love him so much! We were expecting him early because of my history with Bentley and Hadley, my doctor thought he would make his appearance earlier than later. My mom and sister were able to stay at home and quarantine for two weeks so they could be here when the baby came and watch Bentley and Hadley. We had them come May 1, because were were sure I would go into labor around then. However Emmet decided to take his time and didn’t come until I was 40+1. I was definitely ready! It was kind of a scary quick labor. I wasn’t sure we would make it to the hospital. I woke up around midnight with a contraction, but it wasn’t too bad and was able to fall asleep for an hour.  At one I woke up again with a stronger contraction, an...

The Richards family is on the move!

The last time I posted was over a year ago! Like the rest of the world this year was anything but ordinary. We did however all grow a year older, and we learned to adapt the best we could to our new way of life.  With COVID, a new baby and Bentleys heart we tried to be extra cautious. We spent a lot of time at home together, a lot of time going to the beach and different parks together. We worshipped each Sunday from our living room over zoom and had many Facetime and Skype calls with our families. We turned a bedroom into a home office while Alex worked form home, and our living room into a virtual classroom for Bentley while he did his entire first grade year. Hadley and I did some mommy pre-school. And Emmet was just the happiest baby that went along with it all (while growing up way too fast!)  During the past year we have had our fair share of disappointments and joyful moments, but through them all we have grown. Grown closer in our relationships with each other an...

Life would be boring without change!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Hello! I know I say this every time but it’s been awhile since our last post and so much has changed for our family in the last few months! But the top three changes are: 1-We found out we were expecting! 2- Alex got a new job (same company), and 3- We moved to San Diego!  I’ll just summarize by month and add lots of picturesπŸ˜ƒ June/July We had a nice relaxing summer, we stayed home and tried to get back into a routine and normal life post hospital. We did go to the children’s museum lots and played outside. We also put Hadley in some dance classes and Bentley in Swimming and soccer to keep them busy. Bentley also lost two teeth!  August Bentley started kindergarten! I can’t Believe he is old enough to go to school! But he loves school and loved his teacher, I hope he doesn’t grow out of his love for learning. We also took a weekend trip to Monterey where we went to the beach and went to t...
